Powertrain
Cold start, idle smoke, boost leaks, gearbox through all ratios, differential noise on a short drive.
Chassis and dump
Frame cracks at back-of-cab and dump hinge, lift-cylinder drift, pin wear, box floor thickness. A patched floor is not a deal-breaker if you see it on video and the price moves.
Cab
Sleeper rust, glass, locks, lamps. If the truck is supposed to have ABS, the warning lamp is checked.
